Environmental Overlay Project (June 17, 2026)

At this meeting, we are grateful to welcome a representative of Columbia Corridor Association to fill us in about the Columbia Corridor Industrial Lands (CCIL) Environmental Overlay Project. Also called the Columbia-Industrial Ezone Project, this project will adjust the location of environmental overlay zones in the Columbia Corridor and other industrial areas to match the locations of streams, wetlands, sloughs, vegetation and wildlife habitat. At this meeting, we will welcome representatives of City of Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability to speak to us about the Commercial Waste System Review. Join us to learn the how, the why, and the what!

Portland’s commercial waste collection system—serving apartments, businesses, construction, and demolition—produces most of the city’s waste. This project will review the system to ensure it provides high-quality, affordable service and advances climate, equity, and service goals.
